Yes, again sorry for the short notice, but we really needed to get some physical details nailed down with the land owner before finalizing this new venue. We areexpecting a big September launch at Sinkland Farms too (Sept 29th), but this "demo-lauch" needs to happen to work out the logistics of traffic, parking, porta-potties, an any unknowns.

The link that I provided in the original email s the location of Sinkland Farms. Thanks for your efforts to find a new launch field.

But this is rather short notice. I was thinking this launch might occur in
August. A couple of questions occur to me immediately (maybe more later).

1. Can you provide more detailed directions to the launch site?

2. The one rocket I might be able to have ready is a LOC Precision Forte
(extended to 55" with a payload section) using a G64 motor. However it
requires a rail launcher (1" size) which I do not own. Will there be one
available?

I presume you have a launch control system robust enough to fire an Aerotech
Copperhead igniter. I do not. In the past I've relied on VAST to provide
things like this.

Thanks,
Charley

We're still getting the details together, but we've been busy making
contacts for alternate launch sites, and are doing a class-1 rockets (under
3.3 lbs loaded, with up through G motors) at Sinkland Farms south of I81 on
Hwy 8 Near Riner VA.:
http://goo.gl/maps/z8Hy
(juts north of Whitetail Outfitters)
That's right.. SINKLAND Farms, the pumpkin place. NOT our old VT Kentland
farms launch site! There's a possible Kentland launch coming up in a couple
of months, but this one will be a smaller, one day launch at Sinkland Farms
for NRVR and VT students only (not fully open to the public, so please keep
this small launch hush hush for now).
The launch is tentatively scheduled to start Saturday morning (7/21) at
10am - 3pm. We still have a few details to get ironed out, but I wanted to
get the word out to you all as soon as we could so folks can plan
accordingly.
Stay tuned...
Any questions?
